| Lucies FarmAt Lucies Farm -- in sunny Worcestershire, England -- we raise pedigree Aberdeen Angus and Highland cattle in the traditional Japanese Kobe style to produce quality beef. We also have an elite dog resort, catering to a handful of exclusive dogs. And we make a range of dog food and dog treats -- even haddock ice cream and a doggie birthday cake. |

Highland Cattle Funeral726 viewsThis Highland cow died in childbirth. We removed her from Birchfields by tractor. Andy drove the tractor slowly, and the cow's mother walked alongside. Vic walked slowly behind, with the other cattle following slowly in a single file. They followed the tractor until it left the field, and then dispersed quietly.

In Bed at 140 Dowsett Avenue1401 viewsMe (on the left), Shauna (the baby), and Nana. My guess is late 1955. This isn't the best photograph -- no faces showing. I've included it anyway because I thought the bedside table is interesting. I love the old dial telephone, the 1950's shoji lamps. But my favourite thing is the bottle of lager and cigarettes. I never remember my grandmother drinking --- but larger! How images can be shattered through the magnification power of Adobe Photoshop.

Hey, it's still food190 viewsWe returned from a trip to celebrate the New Year for 1998 to find that the right side of Pau's face had sunk in. After tests it was determined that he had a tumour. We had it removed but it meant that for a while he couldn't eat solid food so I used to make sloppy polenta for him. You could always tell where Pau had been - follow the yellow polenta trail!!

Sunapee Harbor - New Hampshire4053 viewsWe took the dogs for a Memorial Day drive. In the middle of the countryside we saw a small sign pointing to Sunapee Harbor. Although miles from the sea, we found this lovely "seaside" New England harbor, complete with a seafood restaurant on the water. Gorgeous.May 28, 2012
