Power Cables in Our TrackПросмотров: 120On the afternoon of August 23 2006 there was a huge downpour punctuated with thunder and lightning. Then the power went off. Normally the cause of an electrical failure is somewhere distant and unknown. But on the 23rd the downed cables were in our track. Repairing the cables looked like it would take two weeks --- but it took about six hours.

Three Old GentlemanПросмотров: 257These three old gentlemen --- Batman, Brad, and McVit --- are all that's left from our small herd of alpacas. We decided, after our visit to Peru, that nobody in their right mind would pay 4,000 or more for an animal that has one cria a year (if you're lucky) and can produce enough fibre for a 45 sweater each season. But they sure are cute.
