| Lucies FarmAt Lucies Farm -- in sunny Worcestershire, England -- we raise pedigree Aberdeen Angus and Highland cattle in the traditional Japanese Kobe style to produce quality beef. We also have an elite dog resort, catering to a handful of exclusive dogs. And we make a range of dog food and dog treats -- even haddock ice cream and a doggie birthday cake. |

Our Room at the Hotel Plaza, Torino189 viewsWe were able to find a hotel room in Torino for our last two nights at the Olympics. Our hotel, the grandly-named Hotel Plaza, was clean and remarkably inexpensive. But the room was also very, very "compact."

Filling Back Orders402 viewsWe seem to be running in a back-order situation most of the time. When the aged beef from a steer comes back from the cutter, we rush to get it shipped out to the waiting customers. Here's one day's shipment: the Scottish | Kobe beef goes out, and then our cupboard is bare again. Lucies Farm e-Commerce Site

Woody -- More Interested in Cookie Than Ball193 viewsIt poured with rain today, so while Woody still had his walks and ball-playing, it was hard to take photos in the rain. So this is one of those posed shots in our orchid house, with Woody more interested in the cookie (held just off camera, on the right) than in the yellow ball.

PanAm Boeing Stratocruiser 377 in Honolulu, Circa 19496015 viewsI did a Google search on this aircraft, N1025V. It was the first of 21 Stratocruisers delivered to PanAm (delivered on January 31, 1949). At the time it was called "Clipper America," although that doesn't seem to be the name in this photograph. (PanAm apparently had many aircraft called "Clipper America" over the years.) N1025V is now sold as a model. The real N1025V was sold to the Israeli Air Force in 1963 as a cargo plane, and last flew in March 1974.

Sunapee Harbor - New Hampshire4017 viewsWe took the dogs for a Memorial Day drive. In the middle of the countryside we saw a small sign pointing to Sunapee Harbor. Although miles from the sea, we found this lovely "seaside" New England harbor, complete with a seafood restaurant on the water. Gorgeous.May 28, 2012
