Lucies FarmAt Lucies Farm -- in sunny Worcestershire, England -- we raise pedigree Aberdeen Angus and Highland cattle in the traditional Japanese Kobe style to produce quality beef. We also have an elite dog resort, catering to a handful of exclusive dogs. And we make a range of dog food and dog treats -- even haddock ice cream and a doggie birthday cake.

PanAm Boeing Stratocruiser 377 in Honolulu, Circa 19496094 viewsI did a Google search on this aircraft, N1025V. It was the first of 21 Stratocruisers delivered to PanAm (delivered on January 31, 1949). At the time it was called "Clipper America," although that doesn't seem to be the name in this photograph. (PanAm apparently had many aircraft called "Clipper America" over the years.) N1025V is now sold as a model. The real N1025V was sold to the Israeli Air Force in 1963 as a cargo plane, and last flew in March 1974.

Andrew at my house where we had a party to celebrate achieving our degrees (we both got a 2:1). Ian let me know recently that Andrew appears to have died while on a mountain hiking holiday. Such a shame: only 44 with a young family

Marjorie and the Truckman570 viewsThis photograph shows how quickly, and close, vehicles are to the stranded Truckman. We became stranded at about 4:30 PM on Friday, and the vehicle was finally recovered (after dozens of telephone calls) on Tuesday afternoon --- despite the fact it was in a dangerous location. MMA Insurance did a truly awful job of assisting us with the rescue and recovery.

Sleeping with the Dogs265 viewsA "Three Dog Night." Barney has his head on Marjorie's lap, Mana is in his favourite position on the couch, and Tapa is in pole position on the ground. The Texans say, "If you lie down with dawgs you'll get fleas."

Sunapee Harbor - New Hampshire4051 viewsWe took the dogs for a Memorial Day drive. In the middle of the countryside we saw a small sign pointing to Sunapee Harbor. Although miles from the sea, we found this lovely "seaside" New England harbor, complete with a seafood restaurant on the water. Gorgeous.May 28, 2012
