| Lucies FarmAt Lucies Farm -- in sunny Worcestershire, England -- we raise pedigree Aberdeen Angus and Highland cattle in the traditional Japanese Kobe style to produce quality beef. We also have an elite dog resort, catering to a handful of exclusive dogs. And we make a range of dog food and dog treats -- even haddock ice cream and a doggie birthday cake. |

Smiling Kiko and -- Well, Smiling Kiko467 viewsThey say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. They're wrong. We went to Crufts today, and there smiling from Emily Burrowes booth was a large painting of a bull terrier. It looked familiar --- very familiar. Marjorie took a photo of it. Here's Emily's painting (on the left) and our photo, posted on this gallery in 2004 and covered by our copyright, on the right. Neither have been cropped in any way. Look familiar? Look at the collar end, the shoulders, teeth, markings on the nose.

The DVD's From The States253 viewsMarjorie and I miss "Survivor" and "Amazing Race," neither of which are shown in the UK. (Although they've recently started to show the latter here.) I found a gentleman on Elance to record the two programmes for me on DVD's. As you can see, we're not exactly on top of watching them.

Marjorie at the Hotel Metropole, Hanoi271 viewsHanoi hadn't welcomed many tourists when we visited. We had reservations at another hotel -- built by Cubans -- and it was awful. We learned that the Hotel Metropole had just been refurbished and it was day one of its "soft" opening. We were there in a flash. Even in Hanoi Marjorie managed to fill a shopping bag.

Sunapee Harbor - New Hampshire4060 viewsWe took the dogs for a Memorial Day drive. In the middle of the countryside we saw a small sign pointing to Sunapee Harbor. Although miles from the sea, we found this lovely "seaside" New England harbor, complete with a seafood restaurant on the water. Gorgeous.May 28, 2012
