Magnolias - Whitecroftvista 329 vecesI love magnolias, especially the big white ones you find all over the place in the U.S. south --- "grandaflora" I think they're called. This year the "English" magnolias have been gorgeous. I don't know if this is because of our hot summer in 2003. Whatever the reason, they're beautiful.

Marjorie gave me a trip to Jordan on the Concorde for my 40th Birthday. Our first stop was Aqaba, where they had a reception for us. Most passengers had a lot to drink, and there were a lot of poorly passengers on the hot bus in the later afternoon.
