| Lucies FarmAt Lucies Farm -- in sunny Worcestershire, England -- we raise pedigree Aberdeen Angus and Highland cattle in the traditional Japanese Kobe style to produce quality beef. We also have an elite dog resort, catering to a handful of exclusive dogs. And we make a range of dog food and dog treats -- even haddock ice cream and a doggie birthday cake. |

Smiling Kiko and -- Well, Smiling Kiko425 viewsThey say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. They're wrong. We went to Crufts today, and there smiling from Emily Burrowes booth was a large painting of a bull terrier. It looked familiar --- very familiar. Marjorie took a photo of it. Here's Emily's painting (on the left) and our photo, posted on this gallery in 2004 and covered by our copyright, on the right. Neither have been cropped in any way. Look familiar? Look at the collar end, the shoulders, teeth, markings on the nose.

Hawaiian Island Flowers & Foliage - HIFF373 viewsThis was Nana's florist business. It was almost eight acres of nursery, plus a retail florist, all located on what is now the freeway interchange in Moanalua. Tourists walked through the gardens in the back, which were gorgeous. HIFF provided the flowers for many of the Elvis movies in Hawaii. I loved the place because it had lots of padlocks that came with lots of keys.

Sunapee Harbor - New Hampshire4017 viewsWe took the dogs for a Memorial Day drive. In the middle of the countryside we saw a small sign pointing to Sunapee Harbor. Although miles from the sea, we found this lovely "seaside" New England harbor, complete with a seafood restaurant on the water. Gorgeous.May 28, 2012
