Kiko in the Garden156 zobrazeníMay 1, 2007 -- Kiko's 12th Birthday. He'd had surgery about a month earlier to remove part of his lung: biopsies, x-rays, and CAT scans had been inconclusive. Unfortunately he had lung cancer. He was fine up until his birthday. He wanted to spend most of the day outside -- fortunately it was warm and sunny. He came in at 7:00 PM, and then died, with Marjorie and me with him, at 11:00 PM. On the couch, his favourite place.

The Mine in Dartmouth255 zobrazeníThere is a big red mine on the sea front in Dartmouth with a coin slot. The brass plaque says that all funds go to The Shipwrecked Fisherman & Mariners Royal Benevolent Society, but the mine seemed full. As the mine is about a meter in diameter --- if it's full of coins it must be holding a treasure trove.
