Lucies FarmAt Lucies Farm -- in sunny Worcestershire, England -- we raise pedigree Aberdeen Angus and Highland cattle in the traditional Japanese Kobe style to produce quality beef. We also have an elite dog resort, catering to a handful of exclusive dogs. And we make a range of dog food and dog treats -- even haddock ice cream and a doggie birthday cake.

Shirley and John Walsh on the steps of Leland Powers School316 viewsMy parents met at Leland Powers in Boston. I don't know if this is a school photograph or not. The mystery, at least to me, is what happened to the person above my father whose face has been scraped away? My mother Shirley is on the lowest step (left) and my father John Walsh on the same step (right). One of my mother's friends from Hawaii, Barbara (Bappy) Pickup, is sitting on the top step. Circa 1948.

The Vet Giving our Tamworth Boar an Injection5032 viewsAnn Carman, from The White House Vets in Malvern, comes out on a Saturday and Sunday to see our Tamworth boar. He's a bit lame, but Ann found nothing in his paw (trotter?) and no apparent broken bones. An injection of a pain killer and some antibiotic is needed, but the first bends Ann's needle. Big tries to keep the boar in place while Ann tries again with a stronger needle.2 comments

Sunapee Harbor - New Hampshire4027 viewsWe took the dogs for a Memorial Day drive. In the middle of the countryside we saw a small sign pointing to Sunapee Harbor. Although miles from the sea, we found this lovely "seaside" New England harbor, complete with a seafood restaurant on the water. Gorgeous.May 28, 2012
