Reminds me of the old joke about light bulbs...735 zobrazeníWe've purchaed a caravan trailer to provide temporary housing for our two new colleagues from Poland. It was quite a drama getting it down the Whitecroft driveway. The gentleman from the caravan company came out a couple of days ago to look at the driveway and he said it was "fine." There were some tense moments, particularly with our neighbour. Here are the guys trying to find the electrical socket.

Artichoke and Mint316 zobrazeníWe got lost one day going to Coventry (or somepleace awful) and we found the National Herb Centre. They had the most wonderful, big, silver-green plants that turned out to be artichoke plants. Ours didn't grow anywhere as large, yet. But fresh artichokes from the garden are great. We've surrounded the little artichoke plant with mint. Whitecroft, on a warm Spring day in April, 2004.

Helicopter Overhead250 zobrazeníTapa started barking the other night, and when he and I looked outdoors, there was a helicopter hovering across the street, pointing its searchlight about. It then went down our track, and away past the back field. I learned the next morning that there had been police cars and dogs chasing someone. The fugitive tried to get over our gate -- but the top is electrified (to keep foxes out). This is a photo of the helicopter.
