| Lucies FarmAt Lucies Farm -- in sunny Worcestershire, England -- we raise pedigree Aberdeen Angus and Highland cattle in the traditional Japanese Kobe style to produce quality beef. We also have an elite dog resort, catering to a handful of exclusive dogs. And we make a range of dog food and dog treats -- even haddock ice cream and a doggie birthday cake. |

Award Winning Eggs374 viewsJust after I took this photograph, a gorgon came running up to me to ask if I had permission to take photos. I said "no," but I explained I was a Life Governor of the Society, and had taken photos at the show for years. I said if I needed permission, a simple sign or courteous comment would be appreciated. I'm 56 years old: far too old to be yelled at by petty functionaries guarding eggs.

Steps Up - Stadio Olimpico221 viewsThis photograph was taken when I actually got back down to the bottom. Marjorie's and my seats were in row 11, virtually at the top of this photograph. With no hand rail, and my right foot in a boot/cast, I had to be helped up these steep and scary steps by two other spectators. A pretty humiliating experience.

The Men663 viewsHarvey and Buddy --- It's pretty hard to get them to stand still for a photo! The aniseed biscuit did the trick, but just barely. A second later they were after the biscuit.

The Chrysler Imperial and Cow Dummy8041 viewsIt was hoped that Ross would mount the white plastic cow dummy (covered with a cow hide during the performance of Guardian of the Veil. A similar dummy was sent to us at Lucies Farm to see if Ross was "interested." He wasn't.

Replacement "Red Wax" Pears from Solstice in London169 viewsThese are the replacement pears sent to us by Solstice --- they don't look much better than the original "Red Wax" pears. They were virtually inedible --- fell apart in a matter of a day. After a delay, Solstice refunded the purchase price.

Sunapee Harbor - New Hampshire4052 viewsWe took the dogs for a Memorial Day drive. In the middle of the countryside we saw a small sign pointing to Sunapee Harbor. Although miles from the sea, we found this lovely "seaside" New England harbor, complete with a seafood restaurant on the water. Gorgeous.May 28, 2012
