We decided to take the train back from Manchester. It was more 1986 British Rail: frayed seats, dirty headrests, indifferent service, inaudible (but frequent) announcements hectoring us to do something-or-other. Useless.

Here Comes Spice1300 katseluaSpice, a Golden Retriever, loves to swim, so coaxing her into the pool was easy --- just toss in her ball. Spice's owner, and our veterinary surgeon (Richard Chamings), is the gentleman standing and watching. I think he thought he'd manage to stay dry.
