Motherhoodšt. ogledov:910This Tamworth sow had her first litter. Unfortunately, she's only had two piglets, but they're pretty cute. She chose to have them outdoors, on a bed of straw, rather than in the near-by pig ark. Here the piglet has a good look at Mom.

Westbrook Enjoying A Beeršt. ogledov:1282Westbrook is a Berkshire pig --- what the Japanese call kurobuta ("black pig"). Kurobuta pork is highly prized in Japan, and we've decided to take it one step further and feed our Berkshire pigs the same diet we feed our Kobe cattle. This, of course, includes beer. Here Vic is giving Westbrook some nice cool beer on a hot summer afternoon.

The Path to the Ticket Booth, Stadio Olimpicošt. ogledov:222As incredible as it seems, this was the path to the ticket booth for the opening ceremony of the Torino Winter Olympics. The booth, in a porta-cabin in the Piazza d'Armi, could only be found via a small A4 paper sign, written only in Italian, nailed to a small stake. The Olympic Stadium is only about 50 meters to the right of this photograph. This was taken the day before the opening ceremony.
