Powick Fete - Marjorie Giving Emilia a HamburgerПереглядів: 405We were pleased to help the local Powick Parish Church by selling our Scottish | Kobe hamburgers at the fete. Despite the wind, we were able to raise 120 for the Church in a few hours. And serve some delicious burgers. (I wonder how many other parishes have Scottish | Kobe burgers?)

He clearly wasn't going anywhere on a halter. So we took it off and lured him back (more or less successfully) to his pig friends with a bucket of feed and some apples.

Power Cables in Our TrackПереглядів: 159On the afternoon of August 23 2006 there was a huge downpour punctuated with thunder and lightning. Then the power went off. Normally the cause of an electrical failure is somewhere distant and unknown. But on the 23rd the downed cables were in our track. Repairing the cables looked like it would take two weeks --- but it took about six hours.
