Elvis -- Wanna Play?vu 193 foisElvis went home today. We're always happy to see our doggie guests reunited with their families, but we'll miss Elvis' exuberance. Everything made Elvis happy. Even when waiting for his family to come and get him, he managed to chase (but not catch) a moorhen --- right into the muddy stream. Hopefully he'll be back soon.

Nana and Baba sold their Kealaolu Avenue house circa 1947, and felt they had enough money to move into a hotel for the rest of their lives. And that's what they did: they moved into the Niumalu Hotel, on the site of the present Hilton Hawaiian Village. That lasted about a year.
