As we've sold the NYC apartment, this young lady doesn't really fit into Whitecroft -- so we've put her on eBay. Marjorie and I had fun taking this photograph: how do you get the mirror to look reflective, but not reflect the camera, ceiling, lights, etc.

WMF Gondolier Bowl4788 زيارةWe purchased this large centrepiece bowl --- made from silver-plated "Britannia Metal" (pewter) in the late 1800's --- in Buenos Aires in 1995. As there's no room for it at Whitecroft, we've put it up for sale on eBay.

WMF Gondolier Centrepiece258 زيارةI am told it's quite unusual to have the original glass bowl with this piece. The bowl is quite delicate, and a strange shape --- and it has lasted (with just a few chips on the edges) for over 100 years. And at least two trips across the Atlantic. We purchased this piece in Buenos Aires.

My Leica R8 35mm Single Lens Reflex Camera318 زيارةI've been waiting for the Leica Digital Modul R to come out so that I could convert my Leica R8 to a digital camera. But the wait seems endless, and the recent review in Amateur Photographer wasn't stellar. So off to eBay. I can still use my Leica lenses on my Canon EOS 1D Mark II digital camera.
