Marjorie's Corvette in Brugevista 261 vecesWe thought it would be fun to drive the new Corvette to Switzerland to pick up a new Bolex movie camera. We spent the night in Brugge (Belgium), the "Venice of the North." We parked the car along side one of the canals, in front of our hotel.

Marjorie Floats in the Dead Sea -- Jordanvista 417 vecesWe took an "afternoon dip" in the Dead Sea, 1989. Because of the high salinity it was impossible to do much more than float. And the salt irritated every small cut you didn't even know you had. When we got out, the soap wouldn't lather to wash off all of the salt.

Me "Swimming" in the Dead Sea -- Jordanvista 184 vecesYou couldn't really swim: all you could really do was float. 1989.
Concorde-Aquaba-Jordan.jpg
The Concorde in Aquaba, Jordanvista 259 vecesFor my 40th Birthday (1989), Marjorie gave me a trip to Jordan on the Concorde. We started in Aquaba, with an overnight visit to Petra, and then took Concorde to Amman. While there, we went to the Dead Sea, and also road on an old Turkish steam railroad and had a picnic in the desert.

Me Doing My Underwater Navigation Testvista 196 vecesOn a wrecked barge in the Red Sea, 1996. We chartered an Egyptian live-aboard boat and brought along three diving instructors (two from England, and Grant Graves from Malibu). We were able to dive three and four times each day, and each dive was a lesson. At the end of the trip, we all had dozens of PADI certification cards!
