Colin Thomas and Silas Getting Ready to Photograph260 viewsColin Thomas was looking for someone who could build a large bonfire for a photo shoot. His timing was perfect: it's the time of year when most people cut the leylandii hedges and other trees. Colin and his assistant Silas etting up in the field next to the entrance to Lord's Wood.

Marjorie in the new Triangle259 viewsIn front of Woodman's Cottage, on the morning of Septmeber 19 2006. Our legal expenses to defend the action brought against us by Thomas Hawkins, the owner of the cottage, have topped Stg 42,000. We have prevailed in the litigation, and have been awarded reimbursement of our costs on an indemnity basis. Amazing: this little plot of land cost the same as two years (tuition, room, and board) at Harrow or Eton.

Looking Down The Track To Lord's Wood258 viewsSeptember 23 2006, photographed looking to the north, towards Lord's Wood. Lord's Wood Cottage is on the left of this photograph. The metal shed building is constructed on the eastern side of the Cottage.

Sewage Outfall from Woodman's Cottage256 viewsA second photograph, taken on September 19, 2005, of the ditch on our property, adjacent to our track down to Lord's Wood. This sewage outfall is coming from Woodman's Cottage, owned by Thomas Hawkins.

Lord's Wood Cottage Extension255 viewsThe new metal extension on Lord's Wood cottage. This photograph is taken from the east, looking slightly north-west. The extension is shown coming right up to the fence line, which we believe encroaches upon our property. The height of the extension can be estimated using Marjorie's height (5'6").

Raw Sewage - Woodman's Cottage255 viewsThis raw sewage is coming out of a pipe on our property, adjacent to our track to Lord's Wood. We believe it's coming from Woodman's Cottage, the only property in the area.

Sewage Outfall -- Woodman's Cottage255 viewsThis is raw sewage, and it's coming into the ditch on our track -- our access to Lord's Wood. We have called this to the attention of the Malvern Hills District Council, and they have called it to the attention of the owner of Woodman's Cottage. But here, on the evening of September 19, 2005, it still pours. Fortunately, we can safely walk on the other side of the track.

Some of the Trees Cut Down in Lord's Wood254 viewsAll of the trees are cut down in accordance with our Woodland Grant Scheme, and under the supervision of our forestry consultant. It's surprising how much more light this has brought into the woodland. I understand that this will help the flora on the forest floor to thrive.

Lord's Wood Entrance to Bransford Road253 viewsAnother shot, from our track, showing the triangle of land owned by us adjacent to the Bransford Road.

Front of Woodman's Cottage253 viewsWe have now removed the bush that sat on our property, and plan to move the fences back to the property line later this week. This will give us the space so that departing vehicles can see safely in both directions on the Bransford Road.

Looking Southward Down The Track253 viewsLord's Wood Cottage (with its new extension) is on the right. This photograph shows how the tyre tracks have moved to the east (left in this photograph) because the post-and-rail fence is too far to the east.
