Marjorie at the Hotel Metropole, Hanoi254 odsłonHanoi hadn't welcomed many tourists when we visited. We had reservations at another hotel -- built by Cubans -- and it was awful. We learned that the Hotel Metropole had just been refurbished and it was day one of its "soft" opening. We were there in a flash. Even in Hanoi Marjorie managed to fill a shopping bag.

Marjorie Standing By A Pile of Cut Trees487 odsłonWe are proceeding with our Woodland Grant Scheme for Lord's Wood. Here are a small portion of the logs cut down in the woodland, awaiting pick-up by the sawmill. Apparenty the logs are used to make the corrugation inside a piece of cardboard. Marjorie looks small next to the pile of logs.

Nana, Father, and Mother1464 odsłonOn the beach at Kaneohe -- my guess is 1948, shortly after my parents were married (in Nevada) and arrived in Hawaii to live. My father looks suitably "white," and there's no sign of me yet, hence my guess as to the date.

Sunapee Harbor - New Hampshire4023 odsłonWe took the dogs for a Memorial Day drive. In the middle of the countryside we saw a small sign pointing to Sunapee Harbor.
