Burj al Arab Hotel2171 katseluaThe Burj al Arab Hotel -- Tower of the Arabs -- rises above the Madinat Jumeirah. We spent our first night in Dubai at the Burj al Arab, and then spent three nights in a villa suite in Dar Al Masyaf, part of the Madinat Jumeirah. (I found this part confusing, too.)

Ho Chi Minh City "Museum of War Remnants" with a Helicopter260 katseluaFrom the New York Times of July 1999: "The city's Museum of War Remnants, with its displays of captured weapons and its catalog of horrors, only recently amended its name, with changing times, from the Museum of American War Crimes." We were there before it changed its name. Our guide didn't want to take us, and felt very awkward about it all.
