Whitecroft Deckingšt. ogledov:224Third time lucky? The first deck was built of teak and painted with special marine deck paint. It was incredibly slippery. The second deck was built of soft wood and stained, but the paint kept peeling off (you can see the latest coat on the right hand side -- the grey paint applied in 2003). The new decking is guaranteed for 25 years. Installed in August 2005, so we have until August 2030. I will be 81.

The Broken Water Meteršt. ogledov:192We had a leak at a pig trough. Pavel couldn't find a way to turn off the water to the trough, so turned off all of our water. When he tried to turn it back on, he broke off the valve next to our water meter. Severn Trent came along and painted a big blue arrow and gave us some bottles of water. The pile of blocks was to try to hold down the lid to the water meter/valve.

Sunapee Harbor - New Hampshirešt. ogledov:4065We took the dogs for a Memorial Day drive. In the middle of the countryside we saw a small sign pointing to Sunapee Harbor. Although miles from the sea, we found this lovely "seaside" New England harbor, complete with a seafood restaurant on the water. Gorgeous.28.05.2012
