| Lucies FarmAt Lucies Farm -- in sunny Worcestershire, England -- we raise pedigree Aberdeen Angus and Highland cattle in the traditional Japanese Kobe style to produce quality beef. We also have an elite dog resort, catering to a handful of exclusive dogs. And we make a range of dog food and dog treats -- even haddock ice cream and a doggie birthday cake. |

Ladies with Signs177 viewsTheir dresses look like the snow-covered Alps, with little trees and little people skiing. The signs were only in Italian, and we couldn't see the large monitors from our seats, so Marjorie and I had fun guessing the name of some of the less-obvious teams. At the Stadio Olimpico, February 10 2006.

A Fig253 viewsNothing tastes better than a fresh fig. We have six fig trees at Whitecroft, and when the summer is warm and dry the figs are wonderful. When it's damp, we think about moving to somewhere warm.

Hmm, how do I get out of this?250 viewsLord Rannoch, our Highland bull, smashed through the thick (and, we thought, sturdy) wooden fence while we were watching to take on Ballet Cruz, an Aberdeen Angus bull. Poor move, Rannoch. This shows that horns are no match for a size and youth. Fortunately, only Rannoch's pride was injured. Zbig and Gregorz ran into the fray (sort of) and separated the two angry bulls.

Sunapee Harbor - New Hampshire4015 viewsWe took the dogs for a Memorial Day drive. In the middle of the countryside we saw a small sign pointing to Sunapee Harbor. Although miles from the sea, we found this lovely "seaside" New England harbor, complete with a seafood restaurant on the water. Gorgeous.May 28, 2012
