Marjorie in the Piazza San Carlo284 odsłonThe day before the Opening Ceremony of the Olympics. NBC had an outdoor television studio near-by (for the Today Show), hence there was this big TV screen. We had lunch at the Cafe San Carlo -- it was so horrible that we sent it back. The young couple at the table near us, from Malta, had the same problem. When in Torino, avoid the Cafe San Carlo!

Steve Patch and Ann Heward at the Supper Club346 odsłonI read about the Supper Club in Amsterdam in Conde Nast Traveller and we made reservations. At that time you ate on large beds. The restaurant didn't have its name on the door, wasn't in the telephone directory, and the concierge in our hotel had never heard of it. The new Supper Club website looks very swish, but perhaps not as much fun.
