Replacement "Red Wax" Pears from Solstice in Londonvu 215 foisThese are the replacement pears sent to us by Solstice --- they don't look much better than the original "Red Wax" pears. They were virtually inedible --- fell apart in a matter of a day. After a delay, Solstice refunded the purchase price.

We were told room service was the only choice. We didn't want to have dinner in our room, so they suggested the balcony area shown in this photograph, just beneath the dusty palm trees. Up a long flight of stairs --- very difficult for me to climb.
