A Highland Cow Having a Swig of Beer288 пъти видянаOur beef cattle are raised in the traditional Kobe style -- they are fed beer and grain. Normally, they don't like the "fizz" in the beer, so prefer it if we pour it over the grain and let it sit for a few hours. But this was a hot spring day, and this cow quite enjoyed the cold beer right from the bottle.

Whitecroft Sunset - 5 August 2005285 пъти видянаOur neighbor farmer, Thomas Hawkins, planted a cereal crop on the field next to Whitecroft. With it all rolled up nicely into bundles, Marjorie, Tapa, and I went to have a look at the big rolls at sunset. Whitecroft is just visible in the trees.
