We decided to take the train back from Manchester. It was more 1986 British Rail: frayed seats, dirty headrests, indifferent service, inaudible (but frequent) announcements hectoring us to do something-or-other. Useless.

He was willing to wear the silly Christmas ears, but only if Marjorie held him. Good thing it only takes 1/60th of a second to take a photograph, because that's how long the ears stayed on. Christmas 2005.
