A Highland Cow Having a Swig of Beer288 x angesehenOur beef cattle are raised in the traditional Kobe style -- they are fed beer and grain. Normally, they don't like the "fizz" in the beer, so prefer it if we pour it over the grain and let it sit for a few hours. But this was a hot spring day, and this cow quite enjoyed the cold beer right from the bottle.

We drove down to Potters Bar on Saturday afternoon to see how he was doing and to give him some fish (which we bought at a motorway stop on the M40 for 7.99).

A Caribineri (Policeman) in Cesana Pariol633 x angesehenThe cashier at a restaurant near our hotel observed, "We thought we'd be invaded by tourists. Instead, we were invaded by the police." Most caribineri were glum and unfriendly. This gentleman, however, was different. He even helped me to my seat, and carried my camera.
