A glorious, sunny day so Marjorie and I took Missy and Ronan walking in Lord's Wood -- our private, 17 acre woodland. We kept them on the lead because there are sheep in the next field, and while Lord's Wood is fenced, we didn't know if it was Rottweiler-proof.

A Pig? Or A Hippo?vista 311 vecesThis sow is about 10 or 11 years old. She's a cross between an Iron Age pig (itself a cross between a Tamworth and a wild boar) and a Gloucester Old Spot. While she looks incredibly fat, she's the fastest pig we have --- bar none. There is no chance, zero, of catching her.
