I said "no," but I explained I was a Life Governor of the Society, and had taken photos at the show for years. I said if I needed permission, a simple sign or courteous comment would be appreciated. I'm 56 years old: far too old to be yelled at by petty functionaries guarding eggs.

This is the front door of the house, on its eastern side. Our deeds (recorded at Land Registry) show that we own the area in gravel, at the bottom of this photograph. So our neighbours come out of their flower-bedecked front door and within a pace are on our land.
