| Lucies FarmAt Lucies Farm -- in sunny Worcestershire, England -- we raise pedigree Aberdeen Angus and Highland cattle in the traditional Japanese Kobe style to produce quality beef. We also have an elite dog resort, catering to a handful of exclusive dogs. And we make a range of dog food and dog treats -- even haddock ice cream and a doggie birthday cake. |

Severn Bore - 2003392 εμφανίσειςWe'd lived near the River Severn for a long time and had never seen the Severn Bore. It's a big wave that comes up river usually once each month. Customarily, only two of the annual bores are really big --- and this was one of them. We had breakfast at (where else?) the Severn Bore Pub.

Australian (and American) Flags Fly Over Lucies Farm259 εμφανίσειςBen's family just sent him an Australian flag, so up it went on one of the three flag poles by the dog resort. The American flag was already there. The British flag that we had deteriorated in the British weather. That's a pig weather vane in the foreground.

Carole and Her Calf326 εμφανίσειςCarole is our Guernsey house cow. When she's in full action, she produces all of the delicious Guernsey milk that we can possibly drink --- and she's milked by hand. She's just had a new calf, a bull calf. I was taking his photograph, and Carole stepped in to protect him.

Sunapee Harbor - New Hampshire4291 εμφανίσειςWe took the dogs for a Memorial Day drive. In the middle of the countryside we saw a small sign pointing to Sunapee Harbor. Although miles from the sea, we found this lovely "seaside" New England harbor, complete with a seafood restaurant on the water. Gorgeous.Mαι 28, 2012
