Whitecroft DeckingПросмотров: 260Third time lucky? The first deck was built of teak and painted with special marine deck paint. It was incredibly slippery. The second deck was built of soft wood and stained, but the paint kept peeling off (you can see the latest coat on the right hand side -- the grey paint applied in 2003). The new decking is guaranteed for 25 years. Installed in August 2005, so we have until August 2030. I will be 81.

Marjorie on the Beach at the Sandy Lane Hotel, BarbadosПросмотров: 335Marjorie relaxing under a blue umbrella. The trees in the background were manchineel trees, common near the beach in the Caribbean. One little worry: "Standing under the tree is hazardous if it is raining. The water passing through the leaves and fruit will cause burns and blisters if it comes in contact with your skin." Fortunately, it was sunny.
