Marjorie at the Hotel Metropole, Hanoi313 zobrazeníHanoi hadn't welcomed many tourists when we visited. We had reservations at another hotel -- built by Cubans -- and it was awful. We learned that the Hotel Metropole had just been refurbished and it was day one of its "soft" opening. We were there in a flash. Even in Hanoi Marjorie managed to fill a shopping bag.

Marmadukes Luxury Hotel -- Trying to Watch TV in Bed226 zobrazeníThis overwhelming bed also made it impossible to watch the single TV in the room from bed. Yet the bed was 80% of the room. The single TV screen was small, and you had to look at it through the bars at the foot of the bed. It was the most inconsiderately designed hotel room Marjorie and I had ever encountered, and the hotel management was absolutely the worst.
