Westbrook Having A Rest757 katseluaWestbrook is a Berkshire pig, or kurobuta. We brought him in to the stable yard to clean him up for a few photos. He loved the fact that this came with some celery, but after a while he decided to lie down on the cool concrete for a bit of a rest.

Marjorie had to go back to get more balls -- in this photograph she's just returned with the new balls. The dogs look interested!

Kiko in the Garden231 katseluaMay 1, 2007 -- Kiko's 12th Birthday. He'd had surgery about a month earlier to remove part of his lung: biopsies, x-rays, and CAT scans had been inconclusive. Unfortunately he had lung cancer. He was fine up until his birthday. He wanted to spend most of the day outside -- fortunately it was warm and sunny. He came in at 7:00 PM, and then died, with Marjorie and me with him, at 11:00 PM. On the couch, his favourite place.
