| Lucies FarmAt Lucies Farm -- in sunny Worcestershire, England -- we raise pedigree Aberdeen Angus and Highland cattle in the traditional Japanese Kobe style to produce quality beef. We also have an elite dog resort, catering to a handful of exclusive dogs. And we make a range of dog food and dog treats -- even haddock ice cream and a doggie birthday cake. |

Japanese Maple & Japanese Lantern271 viewsThe maple is planted outside my office window to keep the (rare) summer sunlight out of my eyes. It seems to be taking over. The Japanese lantern is from outside our Makaiwa Street home in Hawaii, from the 1960's and 1970's.

Hmm, how do I get out of this?305 viewsLord Rannoch, our Highland bull, smashed through the thick (and, we thought, sturdy) wooden fence while we were watching to take on Ballet Cruz, an Aberdeen Angus bull. Poor move, Rannoch. This shows that horns are no match for a size and youth. Fortunately, only Rannoch's pride was injured. Zbig and Gregorz ran into the fray (sort of) and separated the two angry bulls.

Layla and The Red Ball159 viewsThe ball is almost larger than Layla, yet she manages to pick it up and run quite fast with it! Although she's actually a Yorkshire terrier, Layla thinks she's more of a Labrador.

Sunapee Harbor - New Hampshire4291 viewsWe took the dogs for a Memorial Day drive. In the middle of the countryside we saw a small sign pointing to Sunapee Harbor. Although miles from the sea, we found this lovely "seaside" New England harbor, complete with a seafood restaurant on the water. Gorgeous.May 28, 2012
