Saturday Morning Breakfast - Home Made Pancakes with Worms385 mol gekuckt ginnOne of our week-end treats is to have pancakes with "real" (i.e. fake) maple syrup. Marjorie cooked up a batch on Saturday. They looked good, but my first bite felt, er, "crunchy." I looked down on my plate and saw this little critter. Where had it come from?! A further search yielded a veritable collection of moths which we seem to have imported in some dates or nuts from Dubai. Yum, yum. We had toast and spring cleaned the cupboard!!

"Spooky" Alice and Her Calf287 mol gekuckt ginn"Spooky" Alice is our only Highland cow minus her horns. Our former stockmen wouldn't handle her as they felt she was too dangerous, so the compromise was to keep her (instead of kill her) but minus her horns. Alice and her calf have now moved to a new home in Wales.

Jenny Holzer uses powerful Xenon lights to project "her words with the intention of contrasting ignorance and violence with sweetness and moral courage." The English didn't make much sense to Marjorie and me, but the castle was impressive.
