The Duck Pond - July 2007215 viewsHey, this is supposed to be summer. The worst rains I've seen in 20+ years here. Our duck pond turned dark brown, but fortunately the stream that carries the water away was able to handle the increased volume.

Whitecroft Decking260 viewsThird time lucky? The first deck was built of teak and painted with special marine deck paint. It was incredibly slippery. The second deck was built of soft wood and stained, but the paint kept peeling off (you can see the latest coat on the right hand side -- the grey paint applied in 2003). The new decking is guaranteed for 25 years. Installed in August 2005, so we have until August 2030. I will be 81.
