| Lucies FarmAt Lucies Farm -- in sunny Worcestershire, England -- we raise pedigree Aberdeen Angus and Highland cattle in the traditional Japanese Kobe style to produce quality beef. We also have an elite dog resort, catering to a handful of exclusive dogs. And we make a range of dog food and dog treats -- even haddock ice cream and a doggie birthday cake. |

Woman's World Article on Poi - August 2001331 viewsThis article described poi as a bit of a miracle diet food, and we received many telephone calls from people who simply wanted poi. While the article is true, it left out some of the more important facts about the "poi diet" --- you can't simply eat whatever you want and poi and expect to lose weight. Unfortunately, it just doesn't work like that.

Scottish | Kobe Topside with Home Grown Veggies9201 viewsBeestings is the first milk from a cow (otherwise called colostrum). We've just acquired a "house" cow, Carole. She has a new calf, but there's plenty of colostrum. A farm treat is beestings Yorkshire pudding. So Marjorie made them --- and what better to have with a slow-cooked, tender Scottish | Kobe roast and vegetables grown here at Lucies Farm.

Sunset from our Bedroom Window120 viewsI was sitting at my desk on Easter Monday when I looked up and saw the most gorgeous sunset. I got the camera and slowly hobbled up the stairs, and took this photograph from the window just over our bed. It shows the view over our neighbour's back yard, looking towards the Malvern Hills. (Pity about the electrical wires in the distance.)

Brooke and Poi T-Shirt709 viewsWe were contacted by E! television. They were filming a "Wild on Waikiki" program, and wanted a taro lo`i in town. We explained that most lo`i were on the neighbor islands, but that we had a small one (about 10 sq. ft.) in our parking lot. The taro plants in our mini-lo`i were purchased at Home Depot. But our mini lo`i was graced by Brooke, and appeared in the E! program.

Sunapee Harbor - New Hampshire4069 viewsWe took the dogs for a Memorial Day drive. In the middle of the countryside we saw a small sign pointing to Sunapee Harbor. Although miles from the sea, we found this lovely "seaside" New England harbor, complete with a seafood restaurant on the water. Gorgeous.May 28, 2012
