| Lucies FarmAt Lucies Farm -- in sunny Worcestershire, England -- we raise pedigree Aberdeen Angus and Highland cattle in the traditional Japanese Kobe style to produce quality beef. We also have an elite dog resort, catering to a handful of exclusive dogs. And we make a range of dog food and dog treats -- even haddock ice cream and a doggie birthday cake. |

Lord's Wood Entrance to Bransford Road360 viewsOur car is parked on the triangle of land that's part of the Lord's Wood title deed, and provides access to the Colletts Green to Bransford Road. The plan is to pave or gravel (with compacted gravel) this area in the next few weeks. When we commence woodland operations, the sawmill needs (I'm told) to be able to pick up the cut trees from next to the road, so this will become the staging area for that.

Filling Back Orders456 viewsWe seem to be running in a back-order situation most of the time. When the aged beef from a steer comes back from the cutter, we rush to get it shipped out to the waiting customers. Here's one day's shipment: the Scottish | Kobe beef goes out, and then our cupboard is bare again. Lucies Farm e-Commerce Site

The Cider Mill and Our Track219 viewsOur track is the gravel area to the right (east) of The Cider Mill. As is shown, the house has essentially no land on its eastern side, except for a small brick path about three feet wide. Our post-and-rail fence is on the right of this photograph.

Smiling Kiko and -- Well, Smiling Kiko501 viewsThey say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. They're wrong. We went to Crufts today, and there smiling from Emily Burrowes booth was a large painting of a bull terrier. It looked familiar --- very familiar. Marjorie took a photo of it. Here's Emily's painting (on the left) and our photo, posted on this gallery in 2004 and covered by our copyright, on the right. Neither have been cropped in any way. Look familiar? Look at the collar end, the shoulders, teeth, markings on the nose.

Sunapee Harbor - New Hampshire4069 viewsWe took the dogs for a Memorial Day drive. In the middle of the countryside we saw a small sign pointing to Sunapee Harbor. Although miles from the sea, we found this lovely "seaside" New England harbor, complete with a seafood restaurant on the water. Gorgeous.May 28, 2012
