St Petersburg, Russia

Marjorie always wanted to visit St. Petersburg, Russia. What a beautiful place - but our trip was marred by having my camera stolen on one day on the main shopping street, and my wallet the next.

SCUBA and Underwater

We sold our antique (circa 1944) Mark V hard hat diving helmet, made by DESCO, on eBay in July 2008. Here are the photographs we took of the helmet for our eBay listing.

Photokina 2008

photokina is the world's largest photographic trade fair, held every two years in Cologne. This was Marjorie's and my 5th visit to photokina. We also drove to the German state of Hesse (Hessen) to visit the hometowns of the Schoenhals, my maternal great-great-grandmother.

Adam and Eve Hotel - Belek Turkey

In June 2009 Craig and Marjorie spent a week at the Adam and Eve Hotel in Belek, Turkey. The hotel is a pre-fab building where they've covered every interior wall with mirrors, and the outside walls with Astroturf.

Seamus Ryan Portraits

Before we left the UK in October 2010 I asked Seamus Ryan -- a fellow member of the AOP -- to please take photos of Marjorie and me. We told Seamus that we were happy for him to take the photos in any way that he wanted, and these are the results. We think they're great. See more of Seamus' work at http://www.sundayshoots.com/

Me Taking A Photo of My Puffy Pants898 viewsI'd put on my Northern Face down-insulated pants and my foot cast and it was all quite funny. I tried to take a photo of the stylish combination using a mirror in our hotel room. I think the look on Marjorie's face is funny -- sort of quiet resignation.

My Leica R8 35mm Single Lens Reflex Camera1118 viewsI've been waiting for the Leica Digital Modul R to come out so that I could convert my Leica R8 to a digital camera. But the wait seems endless, and the recent review in Amateur Photographer wasn't stellar. So off to eBay. I can still use my Leica lenses on my Canon EOS 1D Mark II digital camera.
