Latch on Stable Gatevista 737 vecesThis Came electronic latch was installed by Automation Gates in early 2005. The stable gate is exposed to direct wind, and the installers indicated that the wind on the gate was breaking the arm that connected the gate with the motor. At the same time, the motor was replaced with a different --- and presumably better --- motor. The latch meant that when the gate closed it would be supported, against the wind, on both ends. But the latch didn't always engage --- usually because of the wind.Marzo 28, 2007

Stable Gate at Lucies Farmvista 737 vecesLooking from the latch end towards the motor. This motor, installed in early 2005 to replace an earlier motor, is mounted on a separate, metal gate post, and it opens and closes the gate (or at least it did, before it was broken by the windstorm) using the metal arm.Marzo 28, 2007

Stable Gate at Lucies Farmvista 688 vecesPhotographed from the track, as though arriving at the gate. It opens inward (the motor is on the left in this photograph, latch on the right). The stable yard lies within. The two strands of wire on the top of the gate are part of the Gallagher electric fence system which surrounds Maggot's Croft.Marzo 28, 2007

Motor and Arm -- Stable Gatevista 611 vecesThis is the motor and arm that open and close (when they work, which they now don't) the stable gate. The wires and conductors on top of the gate and fence are unrelated to the automation system --- they are part of the Gallagher electric fence system --- to keep foxes out.Marzo 28, 2007

A Gate in the Pig Fieldsvista 658 vecesIt's been a bit of a rainy, muddy winter. This field actually has field drains --- we installed them when we purchased the field in the mid-1990's. But the clay soil retains water, and it's rainy and wet here.Febrero 04, 2007

Doorbars HQ in Downtown Worcestervista 729 vecesOur Czech farm hands assisted Richard Pugh by painting the exterior of the Doorbars building --- green. I think it looks great. October 28 2006, a typical dreary day in sunny Worcestershire.Octubre 30, 2006
