The Wooden Seat - Lord's Wood307 viewsWe went to look at the woodland yesterday (27 Oct 05) and were pleasantly surprised to find that the woodsmen had cut a seat from one of the stumps. Here's the seat, and Marjorie having a rest.Oct 27, 2005

A View of Lord's Wood249 viewsLord's Wood has quite a big "notch" in its southern side. This is the view from the gate on one side of this notch, looking across to the other gate. It's surprising that this photo was taken in late October 2005 -- a sunny and warm day.Oct 27, 2005

Marjorie Standing By A Pile of Cut Trees476 viewsWe are proceeding with our Woodland Grant Scheme for Lord's Wood. Here are a small portion of the logs cut down in the woodland, awaiting pick-up by the sawmill. Apparenty the logs are used to make the corrugation inside a piece of cardboard. Marjorie looks small next to the pile of logs.Oct 27, 2005

Looking Northward to Lord's Wood215 viewsThe brick chicken coop (with metal leaning on its eastern wall) is shown. This should be the property line. A clump of bushes is shown just past the building, also part of the old fence line. The new post and rail wooden fence has been installed too far to the east (right in this photograph).Oct 04, 2005

Looking Southward Down The Track253 viewsLord's Wood Cottage (with its new extension) is on the right. This photograph shows how the tyre tracks have moved to the east (left in this photograph) because the post-and-rail fence is too far to the east.Oct 04, 2005

Track by Lord's Wood Cottage219 viewsThis photograph shows how the tyre tracks bend to the east because the post-and-rail fence has been installed too far to the east. This is looking southward down the track, towards the road. Lord's Wood is at my back.Oct 04, 2005
