Burj al Arab Hotelšt. ogledov:659The right side of the hotel --- bathed in purple light --- is made from Kevlar, and is designed to look like a sail. The whole hotel is on a man-made island just offshore in the Arabian Sea. The colours on the side of the hotel change every few minutes.%20.%12.%2005

Dar Al Masyaf - Night Timešt. ogledov:885This is the view from our "boat stop" on the canal system at the Dar Al Masyaf villas. To get to dinner we waited for a boat to pick us up. The ride to the souk only took a few minutes. Now that's civilised!%20.%12.%2005

Waiting to Go In The Submarine to Dinneršt. ogledov:761In the Burj al Arab, the seafood restaurant is supposedly below the sea. To get there, you take a "submarine" that's more like a Disneyland ride. I'm in the holding area, waiting for our "submarine" to arrive. The restaurant has a huge fish tank, so it's like eating (I guess) underwater.%20.%12.%2005

Our Bathtub -- Burj al Arab Hotelšt. ogledov:5080Our suite (all rooms at the Burj al Arab Hotel are suites) covered two floors, with a long curving staircase connecting the floors. We had a large shower and a big round bath tub, complete with a painting of Dubai.%20.%12.%2005
