Marjorie in Sestriere525 mol gekuckt ginnWe had a nice lunch in Sestiere, and then we walked (I slowly hobbled) around the small "city centre" to look at the ski clothing and souvenier shops.%16. %411 %2006

Throwing the Dog Into The Air522 mol gekuckt ginnThe skateboard dude tossed his little dog into the air a second time, as we all looked on in stunned horror. Fortunately, he caught the dog a second time. Did the dog enjoy this? Discuss.%16. %411 %2006

Me Sitting on a Chair Outside the Oval Lingotto511 mol gekuckt ginnWe went to see the speed skating at the new Oval Lingotto. This was the first place where the Caribineri (police) actually let me get through to the handicapped parking area with my EU handicapped parking permit. I sat on this chair in the parking lot until they brought around an electric cart a few minutes later.%16. %411 %2006

Marjorie in the City of Bra562 mol gekuckt ginnWe went to Bra for lunch --- it was near-by, and the name was amusing.%16. %411 %2006

Two Different Eyes540 mol gekuckt ginnWe encountered this dog, Volvo, on the streets in Turin. He has two different coloured eyes. His owners were quite happy to have me take his photograph.%16. %411 %2006

Me Sitting in the Oval Lingotto629 mol gekuckt ginnThey wheeled me to this area in the Oval Lingotto where we sat, essentially, with the speed skating coaches and had a ring-side view of the action.1 Kommentaren%16. %411 %2006

Olympic Ski Slopes -- Sestiere544 mol gekuckt ginnThe ski slopes looked gorgeous, the seating stands looked enormous, but we were on our way to the luge in Cesana Pariol.%16. %411 %2006

Sitting on the Bed in the Hotel Plaza, Torino483 mol gekuckt ginnNot much room to sit anywhere else in our "compact" hotel room.%16. %411 %2006

Our Room at the Hotel Plaza, Torino467 mol gekuckt ginnWe were able to find a hotel room in Torino for our last two nights at the Olympics. Our hotel, the grandly-named Hotel Plaza, was clean and remarkably inexpensive. But the room was also very, very "compact."%16. %411 %2006

Me -- At Lunch in Bra, Italy863 mol gekuckt ginnWe went to lunch in Bra, Italy (I liked the name). While we waited for our food, Marjorie and I played around with my ultra-wide angle lens. I'm not sure this photograph of me is all that flattering: I don't think I will be using it when it's time to renew my passport!%16. %411 %2006

Xenon for Torino - Piazza Castello - Jenny Holzer2241 mol gekuckt ginnTorino has a programme called "Luci d'Artista." Jenny Holzer uses powerful Xenon lights to project "her words with the intention of contrasting ignorance and violence with sweetness and moral courage." The English didn't make much sense to Marjorie and me, but the castle was impressive.%16. %411 %2006
