Vic Scott & Andy Baddeley Massaging Aberdeen Angus Steeršt. ogledov:759It is thought that the regular massaging helps to marble the fat, and tenderise the beef. It also relaxes the steer.%11.%06.%2005

Vic Scott Massaging an Aberdeen Angus Steeršt. ogledov:5366The cattle stand still when they're being massaged, and often lean into the massager. They are weighed and massaged after they've had their beer and grain, so are quite merry anyway.%11.%06.%2005

Massaging an Angus Steeršt. ogledov:11869We weigh the cattle every week in a chute called (and I hate this name) a "crush." While in the crush, we take the opportunity to massage them using our large electric massager. This Aberdeen Angus steer still has part of its winter coat, even though this photo was taken on June 10 2005.%11.%06.%2005

Highland Cattle Funeralšt. ogledov:1036This Highland cow died in childbirth. We removed her from Birchfields by tractor. Andy drove the tractor slowly, and the cow's mother walked alongside. Vic walked slowly behind, with the other cattle following slowly in a single file. They followed the tractor until it left the field, and then dispersed quietly.%11.%06.%2005

garden-salad2.jpg
McDonald's Fresh Garden Saladšt. ogledov:436Photographed on our table at the McDonald's on Hylton Road, Worcester. This is the second salad: Marjorie couldn't eat the first one. The helpful staff said this one had been "freshly made." It appears to be made from old ingredients. It certainly doesn't look like the salad pictured on their website, or at the counter.%10.%06.%2005

The Fresh Garden Salad, McDonald's Stylešt. ogledov:533Marjorie and I had to pick up some paint -- and I wanted lunch. Marjorie normally doesn't let me go to McDonalds, but I convinced her to give it a try because of their new, healthy food. Their website talks about garden salads made "using a host of wholesome ingredients including at least 6 varieties of salad leaves." This is Marjorie's second garden salad: her first was inedible. We were told this salad was "freshly made." Hmmm.%10.%06.%2005
