Olympic Mascots - Neve and Gliz634 views"She is a soft, friendly and elegant snowball. He is a lively and playful ice cube. The shapes of their bodies and the sounds of their names, Neve and Gliz remind us of the two vital elements for practising winter sports: snow and ice." Designed by Portuguese designer Pedro Albuquerque.

Marks and Spencer Cherwell Valley350 viewsThis M&S employee pushed this large cart right in front of us while we were waiting to purchase our cola and sushi. No apologies: it was like we weren't even there. When we asked her if she'd even noticed us, she was rude and officious. At M&S, clearly the wire baskets take priority over the customers. She had no name tag, so I thought I'd snap her photo outside the store. She didn't like that. See: http://www.sucks.org.uk/?p=2

Artichoke and Mint345 viewsWe got lost one day going to Coventry (or somepleace awful) and we found the National Herb Centre. They had the most wonderful, big, silver-green plants that turned out to be artichoke plants. Ours didn't grow anywhere as large, yet. But fresh artichokes from the garden are great. We've surrounded the little artichoke plant with mint. Whitecroft, on a warm Spring day in April, 2004.
