Taro from Honduras704 viewsThis is the arrival of our sample taro from Honduras. We went to great pains to export Hawaiian huli to the folks at FEMA in Honduras, but nothing really came of this. The taro made decent, but not wonderful, poi.

PAAVille Skyline - Wake Island25799 viewsI would guess this in the main intersection of PAAVille on Wake Island, photographed by my father, Woody Walsh, circa 1953. He took a series of slides, and these two images were stitched together with modern software. I like the one lone soldier walking in the lower right hand corner --- he's the only sign of "traffic."

A Fig557 viewsNothing tastes better than a fresh fig. We have six fig trees at Whitecroft, and when the summer is warm and dry the figs are wonderful. When it's damp, we think about moving to somewhere warm.

Sewage Outfall -- Woodman's Cottage515 viewsThis is raw sewage, and it's coming into the ditch on our track -- our access to Lord's Wood. We have called this to the attention of the Malvern Hills District Council, and they have called it to the attention of the owner of Woodman's Cottage. But here, on the evening of September 19, 2005, it still pours. Fortunately, we can safely walk on the other side of the track.

Transax Christmas Photo - 19871843 viewsWe'd just moved into Tricorn House in Edgbaston. We still had the funny old Warwick Systems VDU's. We decorated the offices on the 9th floor with the tacky Christmas tinsel, and took this picture of exhausted authorisers (in fact, pretty much everybody) on Christmas Eve 1987.1 comments
