Whitecroft -- The Outdoor Pool191 εμφανίσειςWe haven't been in the outdoor pool since I can remember: my guess is circa 1995 or so. We had the liner changed about three or four years ago, so the water was changed then, but the liner installation was terrible and we never "opened" the pool. It's so gross now that we're at least cleaning it out. Lots of power washing and diluting with fresh, clean water.

Whitecroft Lawn Repairs - Spring 1991127 εμφανίσειςOur original turf was removed, and the idea was to smooth the lawn and plant new grass. Unfortunately all the topsoil was removed as well, so the entire project had to be redone. This is the front lawn, looking towards our pond.

Whitecroft Lawn - Spring 1991152 εμφανίσειςWe hired Corscadden Associates, a firm of landscape architects in Wales, to improve the undulations in our lawn, and to make our pond more visible from the house. They did a detailed specification, obtained bids, and recommended the low bidder. Unfortunately, the low bidder's plan was to simply scrape away all of our topsoil and plant turf on the clay. The turf all drowned, and we had another firm do the replacement --- paid for by Corscadden's professional indemnity insurance. This is the original work, with the front of Whitecroft (and well) on the left.

This work was specified and overseen by Corscadden Associates, a firm of landscape architects who should have known better. Their PI insurance paid for the re-do.
