Three Old GentlemanПросмотров: 257These three old gentlemen --- Batman, Brad, and McVit --- are all that's left from our small herd of alpacas. We decided, after our visit to Peru, that nobody in their right mind would pay 4,000 or more for an animal that has one cria a year (if you're lucky) and can produce enough fibre for a 45 sweater each season. But they sure are cute.

The Three AlpacasПросмотров: 200Our three alpacas are getting on in years --- they are circa 13 or 14 years old. These three gentlemen were born at Lucies Farm. They remind me of three old bachelors, playing cards and smoking cigars.

Our three are old men and their fleece isn't of particularly good quality. But we have them sheared because it's healthier for the alpacas.
