Kiko's Eyes1456 mol gekuckt ginnThey say that dogs don't have good eye contact because they think it's a "challenge." Kiko has always had great eye contact, and it's never been in a challenging way. In fact (and is this anthropomorphising?) it seems quite loving and kind.

Wide-Eyed Harvey865 mol gekuckt ginnMost of the time Harvey has "bedroom eyes" --- he looks at you from just below his eye lids. But when it's time to play catch, his eyes are wide!

Teddy Rotating Off The Water923 mol gekuckt ginnI guess I never knew dog's eyes got this wide when they rotated to dry off. It was a boiling hot day, and Teddy has been enjoying the water from the hose.

Papeete the Alpaca1004 mol gekuckt ginnI get the names of our three alpacas confused. This may, in fact, be Brad. The alpacas are tremendously curious, and he was quite amused by the flash on my camera.

Woody Looking Sad983 mol gekuckt ginnDogs can be so tricky! A moment before this photograph was taken, Woody was bouncing all over the place, happy as Larry. But when the camera came out, he put on the soulful eyes.

Scary Photo -- Really Scary960 mol gekuckt ginnI hadn't shaved in a while, so had a big white beard --- but my moustache stayed black and swarthy. I decided to keep the Tom Sellick look, but (fortunately) Marjorie was having none of it. My swarthy moustache was gone a minute later. I'm surprised how much I look like my father --- even down to his droopy eyelids and uneven eyes. Poor Shauna has the same problem. Strabismus in the genes!

Kai's Eyes948 mol gekuckt ginnKai has wonderful, friendly eyes. Unfortunately, a dreary mid-December and sunless day is not the best time to take a good photo of Kai's eyes.
