Nana, Baba, and the Silversword1047 mol gekuckt ginnThe only thing I know about this photograph of Nana and Baba is that it was taken at the top of Haleakala on Maui: that's the only place where silversword grows. There are other pictures in the same series featuring people I don't know. All seem to have the same logo on their caps. I tried zooming in on it, but couldn't make out what it was. Circa 1947 or so.

Part of the very, very loooooooooong walk to the M & S180 mol gekuckt ginnWe were told, by the signs on the M1 Southbound, that there was an M&S at Trowell. Well liar, liar, pants on fire. The M&S was on the other side of the motorway, and there were no lifts on either side. It was an unbearably painful walk, complete with buckets and leaks.

The Broken Water Meter176 mol gekuckt ginnWe had a leak at a pig trough. Pavel couldn't find a way to turn off the water to the trough, so turned off all of our water. When he tried to turn it back on, he broke off the valve next to our water meter. Severn Trent came along and painted a big blue arrow and gave us some bottles of water. The pile of blocks was to try to hold down the lid to the water meter/valve.

Water Leaking Down The Track86 mol gekuckt ginnThe toppled blocks are the site of the leak, and the water ran down the Whitecroft track, heading to the north. It took Severn Trent a day to repair this small problem.
